MMBF Trust (Matthew Martino Benevolent Fund) is an international fund set up to support young people with an interest to follow a career in the film industry or performing arts. The fund welcomes applications from anywhere in the world and aims to support individuals whose careers are at standstill due to having no resources to move their career's forward. As well as supporting individuals directly we also work with organisations in the Film, Performing Arts and Acting industries to bring competitions, awards, scholarships and training events that will support the future talent.
MMBF also supports young entrepreneurs who wish to start their own business through The MM Enterprise Award scheme. The MMBF Trust was formed in late 2013 by Mathetes Chihwai better known by his stage name Matthew C. Martino.
MMBF aims to support both first time filmmakers and established filmmakers through grants and bursaries towards film courses and funds for first time filmmakers aged under 21*. Actors and performing arts students can also apply for support towards their studies or any other performing related costs.
Support is also available for creatives, writers, painters, artists, singers and performers through our MM Innovators Fund. MMBF will also consider supporting film related events such as film festivals and film award schemes.
MMBF aims to support young aspiring entrepreneurs around the UK who wish to establish or grow their small business. We provide various angles of support including mentoring, business start-up grants and free business courses.
These scheme is administered by the MM Enterprise Award and is open to UK residents aged between 16-25 only.
